the whole tax credits system is a disgrace  it was meant to help those on low incomes and guarantee everybody a weekly salary of £270 when it was first introduced by Mr Brown. Now, if they are gonna claim back what you were apparently overpaid between April and whenever you get your P60, then surely the easiest thing to do would be to stop payments in April?Also, why is it that I earnt less than I thought my estimated income would be last year but they haven't paid up for an underpayment? (told them I expected to earn £10000 only earnt £6000). Also, why is it that it took them 11 weeks to sort out my new claim when I had the baby but only 2 weeks after they had all the new details to write and say they wanted me to pay them back? these are all questions I have asked of the tax credit office; the tax credit director; my local MP; the adjudicator and even Mr Brown's office but nobody will give me an answer. They still they the overpayments were my fault. Why won't somebody realise this is b  t and stop causing all these people such unfounded hardship and pain
