The biggest problem facing the benefits system are the people who are falsely claiming benefits or those that don't really need it. If this system was cleared up then more money would be able to go to those most in need. Some people use the benefits system to maintain a lifestyle whcih they simply cannot afford; like gym membership, satellite tv etc... I believe that anyone claiming benefits shouldn't be allowed these luxuries. If they have these luxuries then they shouldn't be claiming anything. Benefits should only go to those that need it the most. I come from a home that was raised mainly on benefits and I have been fortunate enough to never to have needed to claim anything from the benefits system. I earn more than the national average and have no problem paying into the system that helped raise me. John |
