About six years ago, I was working in a modestly paid job, which was paid monthly. One month I got my wage slip and I had only been paid Ł500. On the wage slip was a payment to the CSA for about Ł600. When I rang up and queried it at the CSA, I was put through to someone who sounded about 18 who tried to patronise me. I asked why they had not notified me that they had an attachment of earnings. He said they had sent numerous letters to me, which I denied. I asked which address they had sent them to and he told me. It was an address in a place I had never been, let alone lived. They hadnt even put two and two together and realised where I was working was about 150 miles from where I supposedly lived :wacko: What annoyed me most was that at this time, I was giving my ex Ł250 a month anyway from my wages. I asked the at the CSA to put a stop on the attachment of earnings. He then said, "Why, are you denying you are the father of -------- I replied no I am not denying it. He didnt even listen and said "I can order you to take a compulsory DNA.!! :angry: He was just purposely winding me up. The next month, my wage was docked again for another Ł600. It caused great hardship, as I had a new family and a big mortgage to pay. I almost lost my home. In the end, I played them at their own game. My employer who was livid at their actions advised me to leave my job for two weeks and then took me back on under a different name. Dodgy I know, but what else could I do? At the time I had a reasonably friendly relationship with my ex. Because of this it even caused that to go bad. The trouble is that when you ring them as I did on hundreds of occasions, they will not listen to you, they talk over you and every word you say. On a final note, I went to see my MP about it. When I explained, he just looked at me, smirked and said. "Well, what do you want me to do about it? How I didnt kill him I do not know. Anyway, rant over. Sorry if I have hijacked this thread, but needed to get it off my chest. This all happened six years ago and I still wake up in the middle of the night thinking about it. These organistions all in their own way can scar your lives forever. Buzz. PS. I would like to make it clear, I am not one of those dads who try to evade paying for their children, I was always willing to cooperate with them. Unfortunately the CSA always go for the easy targets. The ones that duck and dive get away with it. PHEW!!!!!! :lol:
