Hi there fellow sufferers, just found this site and what an
opener! I purchased my honda accord from Yes in 2004, was told like others that the insurance was part of the deal and it had to be taken out with the car as my credit rating was so low they couldnt go ahead unless I took out the insurance to cover me, they sure know how to make one feel loved. Anyway, I was and still am self employed, I had no idea at the time these insurances were an option rather than a must have. Ive contacted Direct auto finance and they have told me to put in writing if i feel I have been miss sold the PPI . What i need to know now is, a) is it worth writing to them or am I weeing in the wind b) at the time I made my purchase were these insurances optional or did this come in afterwards, also are all the insurances they gave standard or were any changes made in the wording etc. c) in what way will the "self employed" element be of use to me, they have stated on the phone that i would still be covered for sickness even though self employed?? d) anything else I can submit to them would be of great help Thanks, best wishes, bombjack |
