My friend entered into a agreement to buy a car on h.p. from Yes car credit a few months before they ceased trading and has had nothing but problems with the car. He has, in the last week, taken the car to a garage and has been told that it won't make it through the next MOT. They said that it had been converted to use gas and then changed back before he had taken it on. On top of this the head gasket went and cost around £700 to repair, the air conditioning didn't work once he had bought the car home (I think they might have sorted that out for him though) and there are a few other smaller things as well. Is there anything he can do? Should he stop his repayments and contact the finance company and demand that something needs to be sorted out?

Please reply asap.
Thanx. :-)
