The car buying experience started on Friday evening and we eventually drove away with my new car at 7.30pm on Sunday! It seemed confusing to Carcraft that someone else was buying the car for me and that the finance would not be in the same name as the driver.

Anyway after agreeing on £179 per month over 5 years which if you work it out is still a fortune for 51 plate Peugeot 206, we were taken to the little box rooms in the back and practically forced to buy the extended warranty (which I have since found out is totally useless as nothing is covered). Then the paperwork came out stating £242 per month - after being there for practically 3 days I just wanted to leave with my new car so stupidly signed.

Everything was great until 4 months after I bought the car the exhaust snapped off. I tried to speak to Carcraft who told me that I only had 3 months to report any faults even though it supposedly had a 120 point check and an amazing extended warranty! Since then I have had to pay for a full new exhaust pipe, a new catalytic converter and a new CPU for the electrics costing me a total of £1,200 (none of which was covered under the warranty!) since last November.
I have now sold the wreck that they gave me and bought an older car from a more reputable garage. Lesson learned I think
