Hi
I brought a car with welcome finance about 4 years ago, the car broke down twice on the way home finally getting home on a tow truck,
admitadley they came out to my home after a week and found the problem the chip in the keys,
they took the keys and promised me a replacment that never arrived,so i have no spare set now
then noticed the spare tyre was not the correct wheel for the car it didnt fit, was told warenty would not cover this
2 months later the gear box blew up repaired on warenty but still an inconvience,
a couple months after that the engine managment started to fail, i had to get this replaced myself at a cost of £300, then the problems started
engine rattles and cuts out when ever it fels like it, the brakes no longer work, stearing is vauge, fuses keep blowing, radio packed up the list goes on and on.
unable to afford the hundreds of pounds of repair bills and have now had the cars two years i decided the car was not safe to drive anymore I am not prepaired to risk the lives of my kids or myself.
I phoned wecome and asked to return the car they said they would send some forms for volentry return of the vehicle. these never arrived so contacted them again and was told i cant return the car as 1 payment was missing but they would send another form. I advised them i could no longer afford the car ( i have had to buy another car to get to work) and would not pay any more payments untill the car was collected.(yes i was getting a bit fed up with them at this point)
They came to my house for the missing payment I offerd them the keys and the surrender form and a cheque for the missing payment but they must take the car . at that point the man walked away saying we dont want the car back. after several more threats from them I was told by one of thier own advisors that the fact 1 month payment was missing they still should have accepted the car back.
The car has now been parked in my garage for 2 years, They dont write to me anymore and do not telephone anymore,
As far as i'm concerned i have tried several times to return the car and they have refused on every occasion. how do i stand on disposal of the car, its in my way and is not roadworthy.
I have had a friend round to look at the car he estimates about £1500 to get the car roadworthy(PROBABLY MORE NOW THE CAR HAS STOOD FOR SO LONG)
i dont want the car they dont want the car what can i do
