Don't set-up a direct debit, ask them for an account number so that you can set-up a standing order. With a direct debit the company requests the money from your account, but with a standing order you send the money to their account. They cannot change the amount or the date it is sent, only you can do that. You have full control with a standing order, but no control with a direct debit. |
