Your complaint about paying a deposit for the car to find it has been taken off the insurances is a common gripe we have on this forum. It also brings the contract into dispute. Basically by taking the deposit off the insurances and not the car makes the liability for what you have to pay to reach the 50% voluntary termination (VT) wrong.

Of course you have to prove your deposit was for the car. There are certain documents you can request from YCC to show this. Also there is plenty of literature out there where YCC advertise old car for despoit against new car".

We need to have a look at your contract though to see if any of this applies. This is why we recommend users like yourself make an appointment to visit your local CAB. Ask them to contact their specialist advisors regarding YCC. These specialist adivors have all the literature to support the arguments and are very familiar with the legal arguments we know about against the YCC contract.

So make that appoinment with your local CAB. Any problems you know where we are.
