Hi

I bought a car from YCC back in 2004. From the moment we bought it we had nothing but trouble. The drive shaft needed replaced which cost over £600 and apparently this wasnt covered by the warranty because it wasnt mechanical. I had the usual insurance scam but my trouble started once the wife was made redundent and couldnt afford the repayments. I contacted YCC explanied my situation and asked to give the car back. I was told i would have to pay at least 3621.12 and then pay 71.84 a month for the remainder of the contract (pay nearly £100 a month for somthing i didnt even have). As i wasnt prepared to do this i asked for a payment review. I got that review and the payments instead of going down started going up by about £20 a month, apparently if you cant afford repayments its good business to put the price up. Anyway it got to a point when i couldnt afford the car. The car ended up being repossed by 3 rather large blokes without ID or any form of paper work. Never having had anything repossed before i didnt now what to ask for or get. I have still not recived any sort of correspondence form DAF to say what they did with the car. In fact all i got was a court order for £6500. To make things worse i approched the court to dispute the claim and while i was in the process of getting varios forms filled out and sent back to the court DAF contacted my work (i am in the armed forces and nearly lost my job) and now have to pay £200 a month out of my wages, which i cant afford.

Any one got any advice as i like everyone else was told if i didnt take the insurance out couldnt have the car. The goods where faulty althougth i cant prove this as i no longer have them and i bought a car for £4000 paid back over £3500 and still owe £6500 even though they have had it back you do the maths B# censored#d
