 Laura,Personally I would have contested this. The £80 collection fee is illegal as its not part of your contract. Regarding the £500 damages did they produce invoices for such work? As mentioned all over this forum there are a number of legal arguments against the insurances. Also you could get the FSA involved as when you brought the car YCC were then regulated by them. I think it will be very difficult to get a refund if you pay them now. Have you paid yet? Has your solicitor advised this? |
