The contract is over 48 months. For them to apply for a court order you will need to have paid a 1/3rd of your agreeemt. This basically means 16 instalments. From your OP it loks like you only had the car for a year so no they would not need a court order.

What they would have needed to do is issue you with a default notice. Do you recall getting one of these?

My advice to you now is to contact your local CAB and ask to speak to one of their specialist advisors regarding your YCC contract. As mentioned all over this forum their are a number of legal arguments agianst this contract that are causing DAF/YCC to backtrack. You need to find out if you have a case or not.

As you had taken out the insurances the chances of you have a case to fight are high. The more this episode goes on against YCC the more the lawlords are finding out about them. It can be a long raod but it just might be worthwhile going down it.
