Hi all could you please clarify some things for me.......... In June 2003 I went to yes car credit for a car I dont think I had bad credit The apr was 19.9% I went to yes because my car broke down and died and as I am self employed I thought it was my best chance I was desperate no car no job! When I went they told me I HAD TO TAKE OUT THE PPI or i wouldn't get the car, i thought that I may be able to cancel 14 days grace, so I rang to cancel the PPI within 4 days they said no quite rude and abrupt and that was that. Now I only have two more payments left so I dug out the paper work, No paper work for PPI, my sister called and I told her two more payments left being nosy she looked over the paper work and told me that the PPI is extortionate £4700!!!! She told me that it is illegal to force me to take on the PPI is this true? Also I have been self employed for ten years does this count as miss-selling the PPI, I have no PPI paper work to confirm this does anyone have any suggestions. To add to my anger the yes car credit employee pursued me to go with him to a cash point and double my deposit and now I realise this was a deposit for insurance. I know I am to blame for being stupid but looking back I feel like I was pounced on by a vulture when I was at my most desperate. Any advice would be much appreciated thanks in advance Penny |
