I would speak to Trading standards again about this issue because I am not sure if after so long they do actually have the right to repair the car for you. The law states that any retailer can offer an exchange or refund for faulty goods but it is up to them if they offer a refund. However, as the car is dangerous I can't see why you can't refuse it on these grounds. Trading standards should be able to help you put together a letter and help you further with this matter. They were very helpful to me when I had trouble with YCC and have helped me with several other companies regarding the Sales of Goods Act |
