Hi Everyone, Just joined via a CAG link to this site. Just looking for some advice and please excuse the generality of dates and amounts for now. In May 2004, bought a vehicle from dealer using Welcome Finance. Part ex'd the vehicle with the same dealer in May 2005 but used BCT for finance. Dealer did not allow enough on the previous car to clear the o/s debt with Welcome and three months later, Welcome asked me to pay £260 approx to clear the debt. Unfortunately, due to a job & house move at the same time, the cheque bounced. Welcome said that as the cheque bounced I was now liable for the full balance of the debt and demanded £2566.77. (This figure has also accrued charges for late / missed payments and I am not sure if I am being charged interest on the balance.) When I got back onto my chair, i told them that I would have to pay it at £10 / week. I am now paying £60 / month but it is crippling me. Even a settlement figure I got in Nov 2005 would only accept £1200.00 as full and final payment. When I ring them, I cannot get past the receptionist as although I have letters and the original agreement number and the original car reg number, I can't remember the original monthly repayment and therefore cannot speak to anyone with a brain cell!!!!! I do not have a copy of the original signed agreement and certainly not the agreement to pay £10 (now £60 / month). From reading others experiences, I know I am not alone with UN Welcome problems. Please, Please help me - I want to get rid of this debt. Thanks, Meg
