All of the cars were supposed to have been checked to AA standards. The AA dont service the cars themselves but were done by YCC staff or out sourced to other garages. Every so often the AA would turn up and make sure that cars in the showrooms had been done to their standards - just a general audit every 3 or 6 six months - can't remember the exact time scale. A complete waste of time to be honest, the AA were never that interested it's just a good money making process for them too! It was only when YCC were exposed that the AA had to distance themselves and ended the deal they had. They got paid so much per car, so when YCC were selling 30,000 cars per year plus it was good money for the AA too, but they didn't want bad press
