Wednesday July 13 2005 CAR CREDIT CHECKED LOSSES AT YES A BIG NO-NO Demand for used-car loans has stalled, hitting profit expectations at Provident Financial. It's Yes Car Credit business tumbled �4.6 million into the red between January and June as sales slid by 26 % It also has problems collecting repayments from car-loan borrowers. Provident, which also provides general loans repaid to doorstep agents, now expects Yes Car to loose as much as �20 million this year. The warnings sent shares tumbling 63p to 672.5. A string of interest rate rises and soaring energy costs have left Britons with less cash in their pockets. But Provident cheif executive Robin Ashton said that, aside from Yes Car Credit, all other areas of the business are on track. Mr Ashton also said that sharp sales practises at Yes Car, revealed in a March BBC1 documentary, had been put right.

Nothing has been put right in fact it has got worse !! it's only a matter of time before it's bye bye Yes Car Credit :D
