Wheeler,

Mrs Bridges has paid 1500 for REPAIRS. You have paid 600, a bit of a difference.
Servicing, new tyres etc do not count in repairs. We all know cars cost to run but a repair bill like that of Mrs Bridges is really not good.  Also from what I'm seeing its still not fix.

No you are not in the same boat, I would have thrown you of a long time ago.

but mrs bridges didnt say that she had the car servicedm and whether this cost was included in the £1500 either.

think we should all let mrs bridges say what she spent the 1500 quid on before we all break out into another arguement.

OK Wheeler, call an end to this one as Mrs Bridges has not responded. Hope she got her problems sorted.

Where are you these days anyway? and remember to log in next time, suffering with a bit of the KevinB's hey.

You would at least expect the bank to write to tell you that your house would be repossessed within x days if no payment is forthcoming.

That has not been the case here.

K.

Did you receive a default notice from Direct Auto Finance informing you that you are in breach of your finance contract and they are teminating the agreement.

W.

In a word, no.

K.

(DAFS) Have to issue you with a default notice and tell you that the agreement has now been terminated before they can go ahead 'repossess' the car so to speak (as I know the car was in a garage) and then sell the car and then demand the full outstanding balance.

My advice on this one is to contact a solicitor and get him to send a letter to Direct auto finance. From what I can see the correct procedure has not been followed.

W

Kevin,

The loan is secured against the car. Advise your solicitor on this and let us know what he/she says. Not too sure but I think that nullifies the loan.

I have just been told by yes that they will now stop me from getting finance again because my husband has cancelled our appointment
What do they expect the way they treat the customers
We have bad credit but after reading all the letter on here we will not touch yes with a barge poll
even before we were a customer the threats started "you wont get finance again"
this is one bad company !!

Pip,

Can you elaborate a bit more i.e. are you actually a customer? Have you brought a car of them or did you just have an appointment?

Pip,

Can you elaborate a bit more i.e. are you actually a customer? Have you brought a car of them or did you just have an appointment?

We were going this saturday to the branch my husband called them today to stop the finance going through after he was told about this website by a friend yes called me back today to ask why we have changed our minds and said they would now stop us from getting finance full stop as they have worked hard to get the finance through for us then we tell them we have changed our mind we just dont want to deal with them now but why the threat that they will stop us getting finance from someone else how can they do this

Pip,

Its quite simple. They cannot do this. You have not signed any contract with them. If you took out finance with them but failed to pay any installments then they can apply to have you put on the black list. Just because they claim to have got you credit means nothing until you sign that dotted line.

You are not the only ones to suffer from this scenario. It is YCC carrying out their bully boy tactics. Soon it will backfire on them.

Watch this space.

Since when have finance companies been able to black list your name for no longer wanting to go to Yes Cars ? I applied last week and was to go this weekend but my friend told me about this site and to look into the Yes company a bit further.
So after taking my friends advice and reading the site I called to cancel and was rudley told I will not get finance with yes again (well not bothered about that one) but then told it will further damage my credit rating by not turning up ??

I am going to talk to CAB later today and see what they have to say.

What did the CAB say?

We have spoken to the CAB and they were very helpful. We have been told that they receive numerous complaints about yes cars and told us what they said regarding they would stop us from getting finance elsewhere is total rubbish.

I never realised what such a bad company they are.

Some advice please bought a car three months ago (bad mistake) it has been in the garage now for four weeks and this is the third time its been in. I now longer want this heap of junk and told the garage to keep it. I have also now stopped my direct debt from the bank. There is no way I'm taking it back this time. How can I cancel the agreement ? and has anyone else had the same prop.

Joe05,

First report it to Trading Standards. See the link on this site
Second e-mail Charlie.MacDonald@directautofinance and tell him your story.
Third, except letters from YCC recovery dept.

I have been informed that if you have a dispute with a car then it is up to the supplier, YCC, to prove the car was roadworthy. Not many people know that but my friend the criminal solicitor does. After talking to Trading Standards I think you might have a good case. Give them a go but do contact this MacDonald guy as he is the Customer Service Director.

Good luck

James,

Get in touch with Trading Standards first. They have had alot of complaints about YCC so must be getting fed up of them. Use the link on this site.

See my previous reply to joe05

Good luck

Not sure how you can get YCC to prove that the car is/was roadworthy when all they'll do is throw their 125 point 'checklist', a milage confirmation, and the MOT certificate at you...

Plus we have evidence that they lie.

You could get the AA to come in and check it but as I discovered, once it's in the garage, it's very difficult to get it out when you're in dispute.

Catch 22.

<_<
Things I'd do before dealing with YCC again:
1) Swim in a pool of double edged razor blades
2) Jump naked into a pile of drawing pins
3) Be the food taster for "I'm a Celebrity..."
4) Remove my toenails with pliers
5) Nail my self to a departing cruise liner

I got the info about YCC having to prove the car was roadworthy from a friend of mine who happens to be a solicitor. His words to me went a bit like this: -

"Not many people know this but the supplier of a car would have to prove to a court that the car was roadworthy"

I'm not too sure that YCC's 125 point check etc would carry much weight in court especially with the publicity they have been getting.

Basically anyone in a position of buying a car recently from YCC and are having the problems we are reading about then I would suggest that they mention the above quote to their solicitor.

Any lawyers out there who would like to comment?

I bought my car only six weeks ago from the local branch (before I found this site) it has been back to the branch and the local garage five times. It even had a wrong size wheel on the car when I collected it (MOT ??) and I'm so pis&&d of with them that I have called the garage today and told them to stick it where the sun don't shine.
The part ex I had I owned for three years without one hint of a problem. The worst mistake of my life was going to Yes. I have also cancelled my debit at the bank.

keep up the good work and I will let you know how I get on.
