By Scorpio Lady We are currently involved with yes car credit, having purchased a car with them 2 years ago, biggest mistake of our lives, we had an old montego estate, which was on it's last legs, our credit is not brilliant, so we decided to try ycc, as we knew we would be turned down for other loan. We were amazed, how easy it is to get credit with them, they gave £750 for our old car towards deposit and £250 cash deposit, as the advert states that your old car would be taken as full deposit, so here is the list breakdown. 1) lie about taking your old car as full deposit 2) we was originally only putting forward a deposit of £200, but was bullied for another £50 3)Have to take all the insurances with them like gap 4) Have to go fully comprehensive on insurance, even if the car is not worth it, and you would prefer to just go 3rd party 5) having to service it every 6 months or the warranty is void loads more to list to cut a long story short, after reading most of the reviews about these people Now with all the necessary paperwork which is required, deposit paid, everything sorted and our monthly payment sorted out (which is higher than we originally wanted to pay) we were taken to see 3 cars. 2 was not in very good condition, so we settled for a w reg Laguna, now i dont like white cars very much, but i was impressed with this one, there was no damage on the car, the mileage was very low, and it ran beautifully, having sorted everything out that was needed, we drove away the same day, but not every story has a happy ending.. having all the necessary paperwork, we was not told that i had to change the taxation class, as it was classed a dissabled, so i couldnt get tax for the car until that was changed, at least it did have 11 months mot. The car runs perfectly, the only thing that has gone wrong with the car in the 2 years that we have had it, it needed a new tyre, had to pay £75 to release the bonnet, as the catch broke, but so far so good nothing more to repair and the car has just passed its mot, as to date its a perfect car but the only snag is now having lost my job, my partner cannot afford the payments of £239 a month on the car, (which we think it ridiculous now) so we are in the process or trying to return the car, we asked if we could have a smaller car on smaller payments, but we were told we would have to pay £1700 for another one, and if we return the car we will have to pay more on top of that figure as well, so we are stuck with a car we cannot afford, if we did keep the car we would have paid nearly £11,000 on a £5,000 car!, we still have 2 years to pay, and we have paid back over £5,000 well over the agreement payment if we want to return the car, but now comes all these hidden rules about non cancellable clauses, so we have now stopped the direct debit and waiting for ycc to repossess the car, they bombard you with letters, phone calls, saying if you are in financial difficulty to call the helpline....funny that though, when you do, all they want is more money. We are currently going through IVA'S to help with our ever mounting debts, so at the moment, we cannot afford anything, let alone pay the enormous amount for the car which as it stands now is only worth about £2,000 market value and yes car credit wants probably that amount or more for us to return the car! So how can they help people with poor credit rating to have a car, quite easily, when people in situations where they cannot afford to buy outright for a car, or to have a car loan, which is alot cheaper than these people, you are tricked into situations at the time which sound too good to be true, and never knowing what's round the corner, like your personal finances coming to a halt! These people dont give a damn the after effects, only taking your money, and not giving you anything reseasonable in return, only grief, in my honest opinion, they should be shut down, or renew the way they operate, so like myself and many others who were totally fooled by these, should be wary in future, we are not the first, and deffinately will not the be the last, if more people were to complain maybe, just maybe, these companies who offer these so called (wonderful deals..... i dont think!) can be looked into properly and their agreements be worded in a way that unsuspecting people like myself can understand them and not to be blinded by these smooth talking salesman, at the end of the day, they go home with a lovely bonus in their pocket, and we go home with 4 years or more with endless grief and empty pockets. So PLEASE be warned, dont go into buying a car with yes car credit, try to save and buy a car like we will have to, at the end of the day, you wont have to owe any money to anyone if you run into financial problems and cannot afford to keep the car, so it looks like we will have no car but we will still have to pay for a car that we wont own..... I should coco!, they will have to take us to court, then we will plead that we dont have money to live on let alone to pay for a car we dont have, maybe the IVA's will cover things like that, well that will be another story! so if anyone is in the same situation as us, please could you foward a review for others and myself to read...thanks |
