YCC ADVERTISE THAT THEY OFFER THIS....... 7 Day ‘No Quibble’ Exchange Promise At Yes Car Credit we are so confident that you will be happy with your car and your finance agreement, we will give you a full 7 days to exchange the car (with no charges or penalties) if you're not 100% satisfied , or simply change your mind. there saying they will exchange the car as long as you have not done 500 miles . the no charges statement does not mean you wont pay more for a better car. it means it wont add a charge for changing the car. plus If you have bought something on a credit agreement you can change your mind and cancel ? You may be able to cancel if you do so within a limited period of time. The agreement will tell you that you have a right to cancel and how much time you have to do this. However, you can only cancel if the agreement was made with the supplier in person, (this means not on the telephone) and the agreement was not signed at the supplier's business premises. which ycc car depots count as being a suppliers premises unfortunatly. if you have specfic problems like faults and miss sold warrantys get advice as soon as you can from the C.A.B FOR A RUN DOWN OF BASIC COMSUMER CREDIT ACT CLICK HERE |

I have only done 68 miles in the car. I have contacted the branch and spoken to the sales person who sold me the car. I was told that I cannot cancel the contract but they will swap the car for me. I don't want to swap the car. I want to cancel. I have tried contacting CAB this afternoon but they are closed till Monday which will take me to the 7 day deadline. I am just considering dropping the car off at the branch this weekend and having done with it. |

if you just leave the car at ycc they will say you abandoned the car and still expect you to pay for the car as you signed an agreement. i never wanted to drive out the ycc depot. it took two years of payments to reach halfway so i could return the car with nothing to pay but had to fight very hard to get them to write off the warranty and gap insurance. from experience they keep you waiting longer than 7 days and then your stuck with the car. if this happens your choices are very limited. because if you just drop the car off they will say you abandoned it. they will chase you for full payment. i took the only choice i had. paid for two years and returned it. but even then they want more money for the additional extra warranty and insurances. you really need to seek legal advice asap. you could ring up the head office at horsham and explain your problem to them. or at least in order to still be able to exchange the car take a letter stating you want to change the car to the ycc depot you got the car from and get a copy of it signed as received so they cant say you missed the 7 day dead line why you get advice. they will keep you waiting over 7 days to exchange it anyway. date the letter at the top and bottom. 01403246300 is horshams number. someone should be there now. |

I am returning the car back to them next week. Cancelled my direct debit. They can take what ever action they feel they need to. I have been told that deal will be unwound by a friend of mine who knows someone who works for them. This is if a customer cancels within a two week period of buying a car from Yes. Will let you all know how I get on next week. Thank you all for your advice. |
