I have spoken to 2 people at Go Debt have not found them to be intimidating or threatening, only the letters which are probably automated from the computer system.

My position is such that I'm disputing the 'debt' and maybe their attitude will change over time but at the moment everything seems to be to ok.

I just thought I'd post here to offer my expereiences with dealing with this company.

we should not just judge go debt on what whisperwolf claimes to have happened or not happened,

WE SHOULD JUDGE GODEBT LIKE ANY OTHER COMPANY.
WE LISTEN TO WHAT EXPERIENCES OTHER PEOPLE HAVE GONE THROUGH. AND COMPARE THEM TO OUR OWN.
SURELY WERE NOT ALL TELLING PORKIES.

THE MAIN PERCENTAGE OF PEOPLE WHO HAVE BEEN CONTACTED BY GODEBT ON THIS SITE AND OTHER SITES TOO -ALL SAY THE SAME THING. THEY FELT IMTIMIDATED AND THREATENED. AND WE ALL KNOW IF YOU HAVE HAD THE Unfortunate CHANCE OF SPEAKING ON THE PHONE JUST HOW WE GET SPOKEN TOO.

WE DONT NEED TO RELY ON A RECORDING TO SEE THAT GODEBT BREAK GUIDELINES PUT IN PLACE TO PROTECT PEOPLE LIKE US.
IF THEY THOUGHT THEY HAD NOT BROKEN ANY GUIDELINES OR WONT IN THE FUTURE WHY IS THE MD ON HERE. WHO EVER HEARD OF A CARING DEBT COLLECTION AGENCY. IT DOES NOT MATTER WHAT WE SAY- LARGE COMPANIES NEVER ADMIT THEIR MISTAKES AS THEY HAVE TOO MUCH TO LOSE. JUST KEEP REPORTING THE FACTS TO THE PEOPLE THAT COUNT. AS THEY HAVE WAYS OF CHECKING IF THE TRUTH IS BEING TOLD. NO POINT IN GUIDELINES IF THEY CANT BE POLICED.(THEY ARE INDEED POLICED) IT ONLY TAKES A CHECK UP FOR THEM TO BE PROVED IN BREACH OF THE LAW . DEBT COLLECTION AGENCYS COME AND GO .

I have read your mail.

The problem is when there is a big difference between what is reported to have happened on the site and what actually has happened.

I think you know what I am getting at.

Of course some people give a straight account of thier dealings. Some others however don't.

In fact there are a (small) number of incidents where those that post have neglected to mention how abusive they have been to my staff - and I don't mean mild aggressive banter.

So please bear in mind that some people are honest and give a true account and some people do not. Sometimes those that say they have been poorly treated by my company are trying to hide thier own unacceptable behaviour.

In contrast many of those that I have spoken to have been genuine people who are not trying to make gain.

ADMITLY when people are chased for money and they firmly believe for what ever reason they should not be having to pay or being threatened their home will be lost this does cause people to get IRRITATED or indeed agressive when a voice at the other end makes no concessions for the situation in hand.

you are a debt collection company. you know and your staff know you will face irate and abusive people on the phone as adaily occurence. this does not mean because a person only regulated by their own behaviour restraints can be treated outside these guide lines because they get angry over being told they face bankruptcy for money in some circumstances that they should not owe.

as for people telling lies . anyone telling lies always comes unstuck. the truth is always what matters. just like i say . you do have people who say godebt have treated them well. but for the moment theres more saying you dont. i have spoken on the phone to godebt and i have after being spoke over and down too and yes i like any other normal person got IRRITATED After feeling i was spoke to in a manner that was out of order. as i will have more contact with your company i can only hope that things have improved as some others have stated.
i saw you mention that posts should be balanced and true and fair. i thought i would just say posts should be true . i dont see how complaining about a company can be balanced in a post so it stays middle of the road. unless we put the good points in. and sometimes there are no good points.

my point is this. you cant expext people to whisper sweet nothings while your ringing them to ask for money in cases where they probley should not owe it.
its like a policeman not expecting bricks to be thrown while attending a riot. there trained to deal with it. and not stop as many bricks as they can for more money.

BUT FSA GUIDELINES SHOULD NOT BE BROKE BECAUSE SOMEONE USES LANGUAGE THAT WOULD MAKE A MURDERER BLUSH.
AFTER ALL YOU CHOSE TO BUY THE DEBT. YOU KNOW PEOPLE TELL LIES.YOU ALSO KNOW NOT EVERYONE TELL LIES YOU KNOW PEOPLE GET ANGRY BUT YOU ALSO KNOW PEOPLE HAVE FEELING LIKE YOU DO TOO.
