So there I was.  Christmas Eve, getting ready to go to the in-laws for Christmas when I get even more bad news.

A letter from the above debt collection agency.

Never heard from them before, so before I put my fighting gloves back on, thought I'd put the feelers out to see who they are, etc.

Don't worry though peeps, not letting this ruin my festivities!

:P

What were the threats Kev

Obviously I've hidden the sensitive information...
Things I'd do before dealing with YCC again:
1) Swim in a pool of double edged razor blades
2) Jump naked into a pile of drawing pins
3) Be the food taster for "I'm a Celebrity..."
4) Remove my toenails with pliers
5) Nail my self to a departing cruise liner

Ha! Think the picture will scare them???

I shall write to them next week, advising that I will be speaking to the CAB and see what happens. And I'll throw in a copy of the article aswell. Every little helps...

News update:

Just had a phonecall from Red Castle, their Operations Director.

Seems they are dropping my case and returning my file back to YCC! And, get this... He even apologised!

Apparently they were unaware of the disputes I've been having with YCC and because of that they don't want any part of it!

The War isn't over, but that's another battle won! clap

Must have been that picture on the front page of the Croydon Guardian that scared them off ermm

On a serious point, it's good news and I hope this will be the actions they will be taking on all Yes Car Credit debts they bought that have issues attached.

Very easy for Yes Car Credit just to off load all the debts to these agencies and 'pass the buck' so to speak. The question must be asked, why did customers stop paying for these cars?

Lets hope these agencies are now getting a little wise of Yes Car Credit. They were experts at pulling the wool over customers eyes, are they doing the same with the debt collection agencies hmm

I know what you mean, and to be utterly fair (I told him this on the phone) I bear no malice towards Red Castle. I fully appreciated his phone call and he was sincere in his apologies for the worry and confusion called.

So kudos to Red Castle. At least they had the brains to check out what they were given.

And hopefully it's a sign of things to come. Will other debt collection agencies follow suit? Let's hope so...
