a few weeks back there was a part of this forum going on about 0870 numbers and what people are charged when they use them,i would just like to point out,that citizens advice use this number. |

I was not aware that local CAB use 0870 numbers. Certainly in Liverpool, looking through the Yellow Pages, all the listed numbers seem to be normal exchange. Where have you seen the 0870 number listed for them? |

I'm not too sure of the costing calling the CAB on the 0870 number. I think what we have to remember is that it is a voluntary service and maybe some of the revenue from the calls may pay towards the phone service. Just my thoughts

Exactly what I just thought. They have expenses that have to be met, not to forget that it is a voluntary service and bills have to be paid from somewhere! To me, this is'nt an issue because you are getting free legal advice which would otherwise cost more than 10p a minute! |

i was not getting on at citizens advice,as a charity,i was only stating a point that the 0870 number is used by cab.no malice intended |
