Hollis Briggs are not accepting any form of settlement with regards to paying off installements, which I think is unfair.
I have offered to pay twice now, I no longer have the damn car from YCC and am glad as it was so much hassles when I had it. I was mis-sold the contract and the car and the 'optional' insurances and now I am stuck with a bill i do not feel I should have to pay. YCC had the car back and that should be the end of it.
This is making my life a misery, the last 2 years have been hell for me and a constant worry, is this ever going to end?

Well said.

In the "William Rhodes" post , Mr Rhodes himself mention that it is all about reaching a compromise when I raised my concerns with his company trying to obtain bankruptcy orders.

This proves that he is unwilling to compromise with Harpet. If harpet has genuinely offered to pay the debt by installments, then I think that Mr Rhodes should prove that he is willing to compromise.

Would be interested in your comments Mr Rhodes either on the forum or by PM.

Hi Harpet,

Sorry, hope you didn't think I doubted you being genuine. I didn't mean it to sound like that

We will try to give you all the help you need.
At the moment, I think Mr. Rhodes is guilty of double standards.
One minute, he says on the forum that compromise is needed. The next minute, we hear his company has declined your offers of payment.

Dont be bullied.
We helped the downfall of YCC.

And we arent going to stop at that !!

Hopefully the best is yet to come.

Buzz

You make your point well - but some balence would be appreciated.

What would be the point of me making decisions which fly in the face of the posts I make in this forum?

It doesn't make sense does it? I don't need to do that - it doesn't stack up.

Could mean that there is more to take in than the issues written about over a few lines.

Regards

William

Obviously I make my points on the facts that I know.

Reading between the lines, I think I detect that you are implying there's more to the case than meets the eye.

If this member has made these promises to pay by installments, then surely it shows a willingness. Maybe you are saying the amounts offered were not adequate for you. Even a token payment offered would be looked favourably on if it were to go to court. It is not as if the member has refused to pay full stop. What may seem a small offer of payment to you could actually be quite a lot to the debtor.

You use words like compromise and balance. I think however that you find these acceptable only when in your favour. You also say you shouldnt make decisions based on what you say on the forums. Why then do you use them in defence of your actions?

Please pm or email me if you feel you cannot divulge too much on the forum.
Obviously I dont expect you to discuss personal info about our members. ( DPA and all that)

Thanks for the message Buzz, it is appreciated and your last point is very much correct, at least I am offering to make payments and am not refusing to.

I might feel that i feel I shouldn't have to pay but to resolve this matter I am.

Thanks again -

You need to call them back, ask to talk to the in house debt adviser. Ask him, her to contact the special unit within the CAB; re Yes Car Credit - Godebt. They have a number of legal arguments re DAF contracts and will support your case in court.

Your case has been mentioned in a couple of topics. We strongly recommend you talk to the CAB before dealing with Godebt again.

Please could you update up on your actions.
