censored Well here we go, I purchased a V reg mondeo in Feb 2003 for about 12K (making me take out insurances I couldnt claim on as Im S/E ) We paid about 8K of this off in monthly payments of £258 (although I was only earning £1100 a month) thum
When my wife had our baby in Oct 2003 clap I lost my job - tried to claim on insurance - told I couldnt, took out loans to pay YCC, in Oct 2004 it was repossessed and sold - we were told that this left us with no outstanding balance (On phone)
Well the letters from GO Debt have started coming demanding £6130.10 how can there have this figure, well now they have stated there are forcing bankruptcy on us, what shall we do?
Ive asked them for a breakdown of their figures - none received ermm

Russ,

It looks to me that you have been mis-sold the insurances. You need legal advice on this so what you need to do is make an appointment with your local CAB. Take all your paperwork with you an ask to see their In-House Debt advisor regarding YCC. From there they will contact their Specialist Advisors who are well rehearsed against YCC. They will then inform you if you have a case.

There are a number of our users who have gone down this route with success. It is worth you going there.

Good luck and keep us informed.

If you wish to contact me I will try and help you - if you don't the CAB is the best bet.
