***avoid ge money*** I have a car financed through them, which i am struggling to pay for at present. when i started to struggle with payments, i.e when i became unemployed, i was in contact regarding this, which sounds okay at first. not when they call you on a dailly basis to demand payments that i made clear, i couldn't afford. where's the logic in that?? not only that, but they refered me to 'financial solutions' as i was struggling....but continuing to phone me for payments on an almost daily basis. They told me; "although you're making every effort to get a solution to your problem by sending an income/expenditure form to us, may i inform you that you will still be chased to make a payment to bring the account upto date". so on one hand, they were 'helping', but on the other hand, demanding payments that i made clear i couldn't afford. help???? i don't think so!!! so, adding interest and account charges help do they, by increasing the payment due??? few weeks later, financial solutions come up with a so-called 'solution'. sell the car and pay the proceeds to ge money. all very well, but my finance is worth more than the car itself. it also costs to advertise the car in our local auto trader or the local press. not only that, i am informed that i would still have to make regular payments to ge money and not have a car. impossible and totally unreasonable!!! not only that, but i would then be paying for something i don't even own! oh! almost forgot to mention about the amount of letters i have sent to ge money regarding this matter. did they reply to them?? you've guessed it. no! the only correspondence i get are payment demands. if you're looking for finance to buy a car, my advice: arrange your own finance through your bank via personal loan. that way, your loan may be still be worth more than your car, but ultimately, it is likely that you will avoid this ridiculous hassle if you ever struggle with your payments. i say once again, avoid ge money!!! |
