Subject
returning car to yes car!

Message
My partner and myself got a car from ycc 2 years ago and have just
tried to end the agreement. they now tell us that even though we have paid
enough for the car, we must pay for 2 further yrs gap insurance which
we were never told was optional but were told that we have to have in
order to have the car in the first place. they are also trying to charge
us £80 to collect the car after we offered to take the car to them and
they told us that was not needed as it couldnt be returned to where we
got it due to the company closing. Please can you help us, we dont have
the sort of money that they expect us to pay..

See the main forum especially regarding the mis-selling of insurancs.

Try your CAB, but if they tell you that they can't help much, as ours did, get yourselves to a solicitor right away.

Most CAB should be able to give some advice on the agreements so that you have more infromation with which to forward your case. Some CAB can take on casework and actually do the work for you, but not all. All of them should be able to advise you on a suitable solicitor or other consumer credit advice service if they can't take the matter on for you but you still want somebody to do it.
