Hi just found ur forum, and hope you can give me some advice. Purchased car from Approved car finance in April 2004. Was conned into signing joint credit with partner. Welcome Finance underwrote crdt agreement....extortionate APR. Payments of £253 month kept up until around April 2005. He just stopped paying them. We had relationship problems, he went off abroad somewhere @ hid the car in this country. He will not give me address for communication, only E mail. Have kept welcome informed of this and the dire position he has left me in etc. However they are saying that they cannot take me off credit agreement. This I understand but also feel agrieved that if they default me it will show on my credit file for 6 years. The car has turned up within the last month, he left it at a friends saying that he would return and not to let me have it! Friend got tired waiting for him to get in touch. Informed welcome so they could collect it. Also asked to speak to area manager on several occasions, has never got back to me. Finally the manager called last week, was very apologetic that theyhad not been in touch, collected the car, or that the area manager had not contacted me. Was sympathetic of my circumstances and has suggested that someone could make an offer on the car......and mayb the rest would be written off. I am not in the position to buy the car, even at a low offer! The other thing is, when the car was serviced, the annoying noise which was pointed out by myself and investigated by them...could have been a fault at manufacture but because we purchased the car second hand and the warranty had expired there was nothing they could do. I feel that the car could not have been checked properly before sale as well as everything else......Is there anything I can do |
