Ok today was the day when my wife and I were going to drive our mitsibushi for the last time.We were not prepared to pay the £80 collection fee YCC advised us of,After some debate YCC told me i could return the vehicle to an auction house,After i pointed out that the T&C stated i could return the vehicle to any site within a reasonable distance,"As i live in Surrey both the one in Birmingham and the other in Yorkshire were not a reasonable distance" after much pressing the girl on the phone actually told mee they have a list of sites on the screen but there are to many to go through all of them,Geography was not her strong point either. Anyway narrowed it down to two and we chose the closest,Carol called today as we could not get an answer over the bank holiday weekend,Very nice man answered and when Carol asked if we could drop the vehicle down tonight during the evening auction he replied "We can collect it if you like" Carol said that we were not prepared to pay the eighty pound fee, To which the reply came "what fee" Carol went on to tell the man that YCC told us we would have to pay to have it collected,The guy on the phone said"we dont charge,we have 4 drivers out on the road collecting these cars and we have never charged" Another way for YCC to grab your hard earned no doubt! So the collection driver came gave the car a brief once over handed carol the tax and said "this is yours" and took the vehicle. sad to see it go but also relieved, now we have the garage back the new car can be rehoused. All we have to do is wait now.....Insurances OK so i did not want these could not get out of the waranty and gap. I could arranged these myself for a fraction of the price. Carol bought her first car before we met,I worked in the garage where we met, in fact Thanks YCC for bringing us together Carol brought the vehicle in for warranty repairs, which we did. However she was paying all the insurances and a whopping 29.9%apr Still when time came to change 14.9% (still way to high) and no PPI, I had a real with the sales guy and the manager but they said i must have it or they could not do the deal,Giving me the option to take it or leave now with our old car.WE ended up with a much better car for £15 a month less so what do you do.So the point being car has gone back and I am refusing to pay the insurance...watch this space |

Carolian, You were worried about what would happen if you dont pay the insurances. Well now it looks like you can get back what you have already paid. Go on give Moor Advice a call. |

i think we can all kiss goodbye to the insurances from now on . we could probably all get a refund of what we paid so far, it doesnt bode well for DAF at the mo .we got them running scared ,i have been expecting a rip off letter for a couple of weeks now ,still nothing has come. im thinking maybe i should pre empt them and write a nice long lettetr saying how they wont get another brass farthing outta me. im starting to get a bit stir crazy over this ,ive got all the ammo ready to fire at em ,but they aint sticking their heads up ,lol
