After reading all your comments thought i would add my own. Me and my partner went to view some cars at car craft. As soon as we walked in, the salesman, pratically robbbed us! (not to metion suffocate us), took our old car keys. He explained,"These can be used as they deposit for your new car", couldnt believe it, as our old car was a banger. Anyways purchased a Vauxhall Corsa, after wasting our day off, by spending 6 hours in the place! Well finally! got the car and drove home happy. We purchased this Nov 25th 05. Then in Feb 1st 06, the car was broke! The electrics totally cut off, gauges, indicators! Because the indicators arnt working, i beliveve personally that this is dangerous. When the electris went out, the engine still ran. As soon as we pulled over and turned it off, it wouldnt start up. On 6 different occasions we sat waiting, up to a hour at one point, for the car to work. Anyways contacted car craft and they advised me to call NAC "our repair cover". Nac told me to take it Nationwide. "Nationwide", advised me that i will have to pay £55.00 per hour to be looked at, also stating, "this my take more than one hour and if you dont pay, we wont give you your car back!". Well that's fair enough, even though its costing me £200.00 per month! I then called car craft to explain i wasnt happy about this and asked there policy. They explained, "is it out of its 90 day return?". I explained, "the first time i called & reported it faulty it was in the 90 day policy". They then said, "has it done more than 3000 miles?". Couldnt believe what i was hearing excuse after excuse. Anyway becuase the car has done more then 3000 miles, we have to pay for the diagnostics at £55.00 per hour, as NAC do not cover this. Dont know how much this will cost, as Nationwide said it is a major fault. Looking at NAC policy they only cover certain parts! The moral of this story is NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER USE CARCRAFT! |

It seems to me these sub prime companies are selling sub standard insurances. I would recommend no one take them out with these guys but do your some shopping around. Thats if you can get around the no insurances no car pitch. Also the disappointment in the salesperson face whn you tell them you dont have to take them out as its against the law to force you. |
