i think this company brighthouse is in the same league as yes car credit, provident, i would not be suprised if they are owned by the same company, they do the optional insurances, in the same way as yes car credit, if you say no to them you will just not get the item you want. these companies are exploiting the customer, and it is about time the customers stood up and fought back, and let them know we have rights, and not just the right to make them money,as so many seem to think.

Brighthoude are not part of Provident Financial, but they do use the same policies of forcing you to take out their PPI, but usaually the have agreed your credit before they throw in the PPI, so all that needs to be done is if they then refuse you the goods then tell them you will report them to the OFT for not making the PPI optional, I'm sure you would be offered the credit without the insurances, but beware they might come back with "they have to redo the credit agreement" and i would expect you will find that your payments would be around about the same as with the PPI as they would manipulate the figures and give you a higher APR.
