YES CR*P CAR CREDIT I purchased a car from Yes car credit back in September. It has caused me nothing but problems, These problems are so bad I am now taking the finance company (because yes car credit are now bankrupt) to the smalls claims WHICH they are defending! The car has failed its MOT at Kwik fit they recommended i dont drive home from London, it would be too dangerous as the wheels where only held on, with what looks like dental floss. The exhaust is so corroded its about to drop off the Kat convertor has a crack in it, The boot locks faulty the ball joints are missing parts, The breaks are put together incorrectly and over clipped. On top of that they told me to get the car looked at by a body specialist as they have reason to believe the car has been in a crash. I did and was told and the whole drivers side of the car has been replaced and resprayed including a new bumper! Rather than the ba**ards buying a new headlight they just stuck the old one back on with putty!! ITS A JOKE For this mess to be put right including the rest of the faulty parts being replaced its going to cost nearly £2500! and im only talking about a W reg vauxhall corsa. Thank goodness Yes car credit are no longer providing Death traps and are now only providing loans. (Yes loans) BE WARNED |

Hi Jammysmum, Welcome to the forum. Sorry to hear of the problems you encountered with YCC. Unfortunately, the tale is all too familiar. The vast majority of our members have also had big problems with them. Their so called "customer service", false promises of incentives, crap vehicles, with their supposed 125 point checks, etc., The list is almost endless. I think you first ports of call should be to the Citizens Advice, and Trading Standards. Also, put your complaints in writing to YCC head office. Send all correspondence by registered/recorded post. They have a habit of "losing" letters otherwise. At least then, you will have proof of posting and delivery. I would like to just clarify a couple of points in your post: YCC are not bankrupt, they just realised that the business was no longer viable, with all the bad publicity, especially from the BBC1 Whistleblower TV programme, and also from this site. They were too stupid to realise that their methods of business would come back to haunt them. They had the financial backing of a large company, Provident and also a large network of outlets. This could have given them the chance to be number one in their particular field. Instead, the "brains "(!) that ran it decided to run it like some dodgy back street garage. They only have themselves to blame. This led to their inevitable closure. As far as Yes loans are concerned, I dont think the two are related in any way,( although dont take my word for it!) although from what we have heard on this site, they may as well be , as their practices have a lot of similarities. Regards, Buzz. wink |
