hello everyone,
I thought id post this cause its something that I am a little bit confused about. I have had provident loans for years, on and off, not large amounts just the odd couple of hundred, here and there, anyway thing is because of our financial situation at the present time I recently wrote to them and said look I cant afford to pay you fifty pound a month at the momant, I can only afford ten.
Heres the suprise they say okay thats fine whatever, as long as your paying somthing. no more said. Are these really the same people connected to dafs/ycc or have I got it all totally wrong?

Provident brought YCC because they thought it would be a good investment. How wrong they got it. I personally dont think they did their homework on the company. That is they did not look into the operating practices of YCC or if they did then YCC did a good cover up job. I beleive they were overawed by the amount of profit YCC had made and got carried away.

So before Provident brought YCC they did provide a good service to its customers. People who needed that extra couple of hundred quid to buy that washing machine were quite happy to pay twice as much for it through installments believe it or not. Most likely resulted in loosing £5 a week from the normal budget, basically missing out on a couple of pints. So Provident provided a good service, gained a good name so therefore could afford a better customer service as Lizzy has found out. THEN THEY BROUGHT YCC.

You see when you buy a car you are not talking about losing £5 a week but a large amount of your weekly wage. You live on a knife edge. So when you hit hard times you hope for help. Unlike Provident, YCC did not operate this kind of service. I dont need to explain to this site how YCC treated its customers. Unfortunately for Provident they have now inherited YCC's reputation.

I loose no sleep over this. Provident should have done their homework better than just look at the pound signs.
