I'm one of the many ycc customers who have been ripped off and mis sold insurance's.
I have been intouch with my local cab who to be honest have been little help and can offer no real suggestion on how I can get out of this agreement.

£295 per month for a y reg feista of which £75 per month is insurances in most peoples eyes is a con. I have been told by my local garage the car is worth little more than £1000 and I owe more than £6500 on the car.

Has anyone else had better luck with the cab

Mike Wall, welcome to our forum,

Some CABs seem to be on the ball while others dont. You have to expect this from a charity organisation.

When you visited the CAB did you ask them to speak to a specialist advisor? Chances are your local CAB will not be familiar with the legal arguments against the YCC contract but they should have a contact number to speak to their specialist advisors. Its these guys leading the fight against YCc so should be able to help you out.

We have had some guys on this forum who have had success with the CAB. Most of those successes have ben chased for debt only to have them "set aside". Sometimes the CAB will be able to assist you, sometimes they recommend a solicitor firm. It depends on the circumstances.

If you are not too sure about your CAB why not give Stephensons a call. See our banner for details. These guys have a number of YCC clients on their books and are very familiar with that contract. Also they do alot of free training for the CAB so can be recommended for that. Why not give them a call.

Let us know how you get on. thums

Thanks for getting back, I'm sorry but stephenson in my opinion fall into the same catagory as ycc, all they want is money upfront and an estimated fee of over £7000 which is censored

I am waiting on a call back from the debt line people, so I will let you know how I get on, many thanks

Hi Mark,

Have you actually contacted Stephensons and been told this?

Did they think you have a case or not.

Obviously we cannot make our members use them , but we do know that they are a company who the Citizens Advice recommend because of their extensive and indepth knowledge of the YCC misselling issue, which is why we in turn mention them and allow our members to choose themselves the best course of action.

Do the owners of this website benefit financially from people going to Stephensons, i.e. a commission payment?

NO

Please note: This is the last time I will answer this question.

The accusations are libellous and damaging to the site.
However, should there be any proof whatsoever of any monies being paid to the site owners, mods, members, etc., please forward a copy of such proof to substantiate the comments.

Otherwise, please refrain from any more accusations.

I thank you .

Oh Dougy.

Our users have asked us to ban you. I cannot repeat what they say about you. Besides you are most likely use to being called such.

The advice we give is not mandatory. Its down to a users choice.

Do we get commission? Well 40% of 18 million, do you think I would be bothering with the likes of you.

So either get a bit more serious with your posts instead of trying to satisfy your thirst to to becoming a bigger name to what our users are calling you or we will just simply remove your posts.
