Hi i am new to this site so please excuse me i am 2 weeks late paying my payment and owe £150 in arrears which DAF agreed to accept over 2 months not forgetting all the extra costs which they want off me i said i would sort this later. Cheque has been sent to them but still i am getting about 12 phone calls a day at home also phoning husbands mobile these calls go right up to 8 o clock at night i have told them by email i will deal with them in writing or email as i am suffering with stress and they are making me worse. That is another thing when i purchased car august 2005 my husband was working for an agency on temp work i was full time but they insisted ppi was put in husbands name knowing full well he couldnt claim when he was out of work. What should i do. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Rachel,

Send the letter below to Mr Plowman, Steve.plowman@directautofinance.com, if they do not stop with the calls, you need to report them to the authorities, as for the PPI, you need to take your agreement to the CAB, who have specialist advisor's who are familiar with YCC contracts.

Hope this helps

Lee

Dear Mr Plowman.

I am writing to express my serious concerns regarding the telephone calls that I have received from your company.

I am now formally requesting that all further correspondence be made in writing only.

I demand that these phone calls stop immediately. I am familiar with the terms of Section 40 of the Administration of Justice Act 1970, and the Protection from Harassment Act 1970 and I believe your harassment places you in breach of these acts.

If you continue to call, you will also be in breach of the Wireless Telegraphy Act (1949) and, as such, I will report you to both Trading Standards and The Office of Fair Trading.

Take further note that continued telephone calls after the receipt of a request not to call may constitute a criminal offence under Section 127 of the Communications Act 2003.

You will be deemed to have been served notice of my request and I will deem it served by (FULL DATE), I am advising you that any calls received after this date will be recorded with the intention of them being used as evidence against your company.

Yours faithfully,

just to say that if you purchased the car in 2005 then all PPI agreements were regulated strongly by the FSA. Something such as a breach like this they should deal with so I would get in touch with them
