I bought a car with yes car credit and after a year could afford repayments so it was repossessed and sold for a lot less than its value, i then agreed with a company called sovereign credit management to make payments to repay the outstanding balance. I have since lost my job and missed the last months payment, I have had none stop phone calls and today a letter saying if its not paid they will issue bankruptcy proceedings against me. I need advice what is best to do. Many thanks |

Anthony, As mentioned all over thi sforum there are a number of legal arguments against the YCC contract. These arguments are well known and you need ot skke that legal advice to oppodsse the bankruptcy petition. We have had a number of successful cases where a bankruptcy threat has been set adise. That is the threat withdraw. The only people we know who have been made bankrupt from YCC are those guys who have tried to defend themselves. So getting the right representation is vital. If I was you I would contact your local CAB and speak to one of their specialist advisors. These guys are leading the might against YCC and have considerable success. Hope this help for now. If you require further help you know where we are. |
