Conned By Welcome

Just discovered your site.I was beginning to think that I was the only one who feels conned by Welcome. I went to buy a diesel but was convinced by the salesman that the new engines in most cars are comparable in terms of fuel economy. The salesman seemed to know his stuff, so I signed on the line.

I was amazed when they wrote down £1 as the value of my part-ex, as we have all seen their "hilarious" t.v. ad., which shows a delighted cartoon character getting his cheque for £1000 PLUS a further £250!

The sales pitch and smooth patter was enough to sway a couple who had been sitting for three hours in a huge, freezing warehouse full of un-priced cars.
Needless to say, here I am three months down the line with a car which now costs me almost double in fuel as the one I was trying to replace with a diesel!!
I am writing to Welcome today, to see what proposals they come up with. I have already contacted them to cancel the Critical Illness cover, which involved unscrewing an arm and a leg, and sending them with your first payment!

If anyone out there has had success in dealing with Welcome recently, please get in touch. I will, of course, keep you posted as to my progress.

Keep up the good work!! DaiKappx
