Mb & G Insurances

Well, I thought I should add this.

As a customer of DAF, I was mis-sold the insurances but in a way i am glad I have my MBI (Mechanical Breakdown Insurance) as I have claimed on it twice now.

The first time wasn't a real issue but an annoyance, unfortunately I had gone to my manufactuers branch and had them do the work. Because they were not on MB & G's books, they requested I pay it and claim it back. On calling I was informed that MB & G will only pay £30 p/h but the branch charged £60 p/h. So I would have to pay the difference.

Car was repaired, and 2 weeks later I received a letter with a cheque for the full amount i paid instead of the amount less the £30 p/h extra.

Then yesterday my power steering went which was caused by a dodgy alternator. This time I took it to Nationwide Autocare and it was repaired in 4 hours and better then before.

So. Hats off to the MB & G !

yes and i am glad you received the service you paid for from mb&g. i never did even though a lot of the things were covered under the warranty - they just seemed to do a cheap job this is why i always had to get ycc to cough up for a better repair which obviously wasn't the case either
