Hi all Great website, glad to know there are more people fighting what these companies are doing to people. You should check out a band of 'Welcome Fighters' who are helping each other out against these thieves. Some have court actions pending. http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum...7780-welcome-fi nance-any-dealings.html They have shared information, have a couple of insiders who work there and have realized there are some big scams going on. i.e. The PPI - we all know about that one. We think they are internally keeping your credit rating bad by filing arrears that don't exist etc, so that you have to keep going back to them when the high st lenders still won't touch you. They are selling insurance, listing in their contracts that it is underwritten by various well known companies & they are authorized to deal on their behalf etc (Norwich Union for mine) but we can not find proof any of these companies are actually involved at all. No underwriting - in fact we think the money doesn't even leave the branch's bank account. Free money for them! Policies won't actually exist anywhere except from the basic name, address and cover info the admistrators have, who only do the paperwork on a claim for the branch! (hope that big waffle makes sense!) You probably already know all this but you should check the link - there are a lot of good people who are realizing what their rights are and just what's been done to them. There's a wealth of info there. If you needed anything from me, am more than happy to help if I can. My contact details are below. Best of luck for the future, your efforts are making a difference Donna |

Donna,Here on this site we have always suspected these sort of things go on. Its getting the proof that is the problem. We have looked into many ways of trying ot prove this only to come up against walls. Frustrating yes but one of these walls will one day fall down. We continue to look for other ways in the hope we will prevail. |

Hi there, I worked for Welcome for 2 years and ran a branch for about 4 months. We would be told by head office that you should abide by the law etc and that if you didn't disaplinary action would be taken. But all Area Managers would tell the staff to do things that were not quite so cosha and if you didn't your life would be made hell . To which H/O would do nothing about. Every time a new person started we would be careful around them just in case they were from the BBC (this happened to Shopercheque their sister company). One thing to remember though is all the staff want is to get your account up to date. If they can do that by cheating their system they will. This can ometimes go in your favour. with short settlements payment deferments etc. Hope this helps |
