Subject yes car credit Message I feel my husband and i were overcharged, we were told we had to take out the insurance which we then could not cancel after returning the car. This was Nov 05, we heard nothing since and have now (March 07) been told there is a charge to be put on our home. |

Subject YES CAR MISERY Message We handed our 'crap' car back after a few months and still owed £5500 on a nasty W reg Rover 21, this was after it had been 'sold' and the proceeds set against our finance agreement. We were told we had to have PPI or no car. I still owe over £4800 and am still being hassled to pay more per month to clear the 'debt'.......but what am I paying for?? |

Subject misleading sales,. poor after sales Message The mechanical breakdown cover, would cover the cost of two head gaskets, new clutch, brand new engine. i still have seven months to pay for this car i wish i knew of a way to get out of it, they haven't done anything the insurances said they would, the payment protection optional insurance?? i was given the option i was just made to pay it, it didn't pay when i lost my job. the actual agreement itself was filled out by the salesman, i fully read it today, it says i part exchanged a car, which i didnt, it also say that if i defaulted payment now, cos Ive paid more than a third they may not repossess the car, i would love for them to just disappear. as soon as the 7 months is over I'm getting a new car. anyone know of a way of getting money back from them? |

Subject mis-sold insurance/ damaged car Message Dear sir/madam Further to our telephone conversation on the 18th dec 06, I wrote to you to let you know that I wished to terminate my agreement as I can no longer afford to keep the vehicle, the vehicle in question, namely a Vauxhall astra, reg Y208 DOK, was in good condition and had been signed of the road .I was told on the phone to cancel my direct debit and was told to ignore any phone calls/ letters as regards further unpaid installments, and that you would arrange the collection of the car to which there would be a collection charge of £80.00 . One thing I was not particularly happy with was the fact that I supposedly had to pay around £800 in insurances, which you told me was the optional insurance i took out at the time. I would like to point out that at the time i was never told that this was optional, if i was then i would never of agreed to it. Also upon receiving the car I was given a cheque for a year’s tax, this bounced. Also within months of having the car I had to have some quite major work done to it, i also sent you the receipt for these works within a few days of our conversation and have yet to recieve them back from you, these works included a cambelt change and a full service (£500), i thought this car had been thoroughly looked over and serviced before it was signed over to me. It says in my contract that I have to pay at least £4400 if I wish to terminate the contract, and that i have to hand the car back,well ive paid over £6000. It took you guys nearly a month to collect the car,but before it was collected, you sent an inspector out to look the car over, i was at work at the time and the inspector told my mother that the vehicle had been in a road traffic accident prior to me buying the vehicle and that a few of the panels had been replaced, why was i never told this beforehand? Anyway you picked the car up a week or so later. (but no charge?) I thought that was the end of it, but last week i recieved a phone call from “Golds” solicitors, demanding over £2300!!, i ! obviousl y queried this and was told that this was for damage that had happened to the car whilst in my possession. Now before this car was taken away, it was up and running, had been valeted inside and out, but yes it did have a few surface scratches down one side, but the car was by no means perfect when it was sold to me. I was then offered a settlement fee over the phone, i asked for it to be put in writing, but was told it had to be paid straight away, to which i refused. I strongly feel that i was mis-sold the insurance, i have paid you over £6000 and given the car back and have done everything i was originally told to do by you. I am also aware that your company has appeared on Watchdog and i have visited the many websites that are up and running dedicated to people/customers of yours who are in the same position as me, who feel let down and lied to, i just hope that this matter can be resolved. |

Subject Welcome Finance Message Hi all, Please not emy extreme concern over the business practices of Yes Car Credit, Welcome Finance and any other part of Progressive Financial Services. And the lack of action so far from the OFT, FSA and the government. They are specifically targeting the sube-prime lending market for their lack of knowledge and using this to bully people into large profits. They are breaking numerous laws and codes of paractice but get away with it as their customers are generally unaware of their rights. This cannot conitnue and if the government, the FSA and the OFT do not take notice and do something about it, I can garuntee it will not be long before questions and complaints are put their way as to why they are watching people be conned and have lives actually ruined. Subject Yes Car Credit Warranty Message Just returned a car i got form YCC in August 2005, agreement metioned that i need to have paid £2905.20, which i have paid in excess off when i decided to voulantry termination due to marrage breakup. However DAF have sent a letter saying that i still owe £2,209.80 for addition insurances/warrantys that they paid for up front. Can someone please advise if these are still due if i no longer have the vehicle. |

Subject yes car credit Message What sharks! They persuaded me to take out insurance. That was a waste of time and alot of money. They charge what they want. They scare you into making payments you can't afford. The cars arn't worth anywhere near what you end up paying for them. |

Subject Interest and PPI Scam Message I brought my car 4 years ago and I paid every penny back and more. Wait for it I managed to get the PPI refunded that was miss sold, suprise suprise!! Although they never refunded the interest back that they charged me on that policy. Would you believe it now I amazingly owe £3500 on the car. Itwas only £5900.00 to buy and I have paid in excess of £7.5K. After spending thousands to fix the car on top of this I have been told they will reposses the car with in the next 21 days. Is there no law that can top this. |
