hi everyone i been recommended to this site, to see if anyone can help me i took a car from ycc in 2001 and had it re-processed when i went bankrupt in 2005 they are still looking for £950.00 to finnish off what i owe i dont know if i took out a insurance p[olicy at the time because i have mislaid all the information how do i find out my policy number so i can send them a request for my statements and paperwork can anybody help me thanks pat |

why did this debt not get written off when you were made bankrupt? also, when in 2001 did you purchase the car and when were you made bankrupt? did you keep paying up until this date? it seems like that may just be money outstanding for insurances as you were probably very near your 4 year mark when you wouldn't have had to pay anymore at all. still if they repossessed the car then it should have been sold at auction and that money put towards any monies outstanding on the finance. are you now being chased by DAF for the money? any letters you have regarding this £950 the agreement number should be on it. |

We know of a user on this site who had their car repossessed after going into bankruptcy. If you are discharged your debt with YCC should also be cleared so as Jenni said why are they still chasing you? |
