He is right about it being a different matter. He needs to collect your money before the group action when he wont be able to get any of it after.

Seems to me you are having a bit of fun here. Wonder if you will be able to force them down so much that they end up paying you. Achieve that and we wil make you an icon of this site.

Hi all, this will be long but interesting!!
Received letter yesterday from Steve plowman's office, the usual garbage of bluffing there way through the legality of there agreements refusing to refund the £80 collection fee. wont bother u with to much details of letter as we all know what censored is in it.
However this is the reply to the template letters that where sent so many thanks to all .
They apologize for any distress and upset and confirm all future correspondence will be by mail and all phone numbers have been removed from file.---ALL censored .
Letter dated 6/06, they tried to get me on phone on 6th,7th, and successfully today.
Usual story i can hear from you already but the best is yet to come!!
Phone call at lunchtime today from DAF, or so they said they where!! Looking for one off-payment £460! I asked why this payment had jumped back up from the £375 i was quoted on the 4/06, silence fell then i was asked who i had spoken to ,ihad all these details, was put on hold then past to the person i spoke to on Monday who immediately assumed i was away to pay!! big mistake!! I started to quote the details that where in the letter and he became very stuttery, i told him i wanted this 375 figure in writing a and once received i would consider actioning. This letter should be on way.
Still gets better!! in said letter received yesterday they said they would consider a sensible offer, there is a name and number on letter to contact if i wanted to .
I did phone and this proves beyond doubt how unprofessional these lot are.
Asked her why i was still receiving calls, discussed the collection fee and an offer,
The calls:- in her words"well it is an outside company who had your case to collect the debt but as you have made a complaint i have recalled you're file to head offices happens in ALL cases"(interesting comment?),i asked who this company where and she said I.M.M.F asked her for full name SHE DID NOT KNOW! bizzare for someone who is close to the CEO!! she said she had sent them a letter on 01/06 to stop calling me obviously in response to harassment letter. Does it really take a week to get a letter? I then asked her why she was quoting me £400 as full and final settlement when an hour earlier i had one accepted for £375, this £400 was to have included the refund of the £80 collection fee. So i pointed out to her that if this was the case then IMMS (having not received the letter remember), could not possibly have non that you where now in essence refunding this collection fee, which she hesitated at then agreed with, so i put it to her therefor the £80 should now be deducted from the the £375. After a slight hesitation she agreed to this and the figure is now down to£295, although not in writing just yet i have requested this before any payment can be paid to them, or not as will be case.
I should in next few days be in receipt of two letter with different one off payments on them ,I am sure a judge would see a perfect example of the way in which this companydo business, shambolickly!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In short this one off payment has gone down by£165 since letters sent.
Although i wont be leaving it just yet!!
I am sure as you already know this shows how unprofessional this lot are and how slow they are to communicate.
One last thing when i phoned this woman i got her to phone me back ,no way they going to get money from me for a premium number call, this is worth everyone doing as it is in DAF'S interest to call us back.
Keep the great advice coming and thanks to all.

Saynotoyes moderating team
don't think it could hurt our case. I have a few of them but dated a couple of days apart - some from DAF; some from Credit and Asset Recovery (their debt collection agency which is just DAF trying to be clever) - but all with different figures on them. Just highlights the incompetent idiots they are
