WELCOME CAR...................... Please can someone help, my partner and I have just moved in to our house a few weeks ago and called WCF to end the agreement, the car was £3,880, excluding ALL the insurances that they said he had to have and he agreed to, I wrote a letter 4 weeks ago to WCF, they said they didnt recieve it. I then spoke to Trading standards (scotland) they told me to fax it to they and call them back, i have now called them today to be told that he still owes them £6,019 as the loan with all the ' insurances' was a total of £11,394.84, he had also been off work for a couple of months last year the payment protection insurance DIDNT cover him, so he called up last year to cancel the PPI, the lady a spoke to today has said that the payments for that are still on the loan, if he gets the car reposesed he will have to pay the costs they will sell the car but he will have to pay for all the paperwork. they then said that it doesn't matter if he has the car or not he will have to pay £240 per month for the next 2 years for a car he doesn't have. PLEASE CAN SOMEONE HELP JEMMA

Jamjay84, welcome to our forum. Your story is so familiar to this site. Lately we have had a number of victims of Welcome like yourself. At the moment I am talking to our legal representation for the best way forward. All i can say at the moment is that we are considering a group action against these guys. Son i will be contacting all our users with issues with Welcome. Please just bare with me on this. In the meantime I would like you to do a DPA request to them. Feel fee to use our template: - http://z11.invisionfree.com/saynotoyes/ind...?showtopic=1684 Within this letter please include a request for the original invoice and agreement. I will be requesting all our Welcome victims to be doing this as we need to gather as much information as possible. I will be making an annoucement later. |
