I had a car fro YCC about four years ago. I was not happy with it as it constantly went wrong and in the end the head gasket went after 3 months! The car was taken to a garage and "verified" by a YCC engineer who said that the warentee did not cover any of the faults. I refused to budge and they took the car back without my authority. I had not paid the first 1/3 of the value of the car and ceased payments. I have written to Thames Credit Limited (who are chasing the debt) and asked for all documentation relating to this. Please can you advise who would be best placed to advise me legally? |

there Joel.there are several people who could offer you legal advise on this. these would be people such as Citizens Advice Bureau; Trading Standards may be able to offer advice as obviously it was a mechanical fault that was the reason you stopped paying; or, you could contact Stephensons Solicitors. However, with Stephensons as they are a solicitors their fees are high if they took on your case so you may be better off contacting them only if you are eligible for legal aid or can pay all the costs |
