To all victims of Welcome Finance. Lately we have had a number of users who have fallen foul to Welcome Finance. Their stories vary but one thing that they have in common is that they all claim they were told they had to take out the insurances such as PPI to drive away with the car. These claims are so familiar to this site since our campaign against YCC started. I have brought this to the attention of our legal experts and we are considering the possibilty of bringing a group action against Welcome. As most of you know the argument that you had to take PPI is your word against theirs. We feel the best way to attack this is a group action and this will involve a number of us joining forces against Welcome. A group action is along road to go down but an outcome in favour has tremendous advantages. At the moment we are in the process of suporting a group action against YCC and we are confortable we will get our judgement. When we do get this verdict that wil be our turning point to readdressing the bad practices of YCC. We now want to do the same to Welcome. If there are any victims of Welcome who would like to know more then feel free to e-mail me at Bakedalasker@saynotoyes.co.uk. In the meantime may I request all those who want to join us to start the ball rolling by sending a DPA request to Welcome and specifically asking for the following: - Copy of the signed agreement Statement of account Invoice for the original vehicle that wa bought Any correspondence varying the agreement I will be following this up with further information in the next few days. |
