George will break it off with Izzie on the grounds that he doesn’t believe in divorce, and wants to give his marriage a real chance, to try to make it work. Callie might take a while to come around to the idea of Izzie, but I think that she will also want to try to make it work. I think eventually they WILL split, but not for a while. (Although, since I'm not quite ready to let go of Lexie, I think maybe if Gallie stay, we may see Lexie....possibly wishful thinking, more than an actual prediction...) Burke and Cristina: I’m thinking they make it down the aisle, but then Burke has doubts and wants to speak to her privately…..(this way we get MerDer hopefully walking down the aisle together…..;)) He calls it off……but he doesn’t leave her standing at the altar…..(I actually can’t see Burke doing that to her…) Mer has to tell everyone that the wedding is off, and she will make a speech that will influence her and Derek, a lot!!! It will be heartfelt, and hopefully proves to Derek how much she does love him, and need him, and that she has changed, or is in the process of changing, and she is letting him in. I think we may get a proposal, but as for who proposes, I’m not too sure…..But whatever the cliff for MerDer it is going to be a good one…:) The Chief will offer the position to Derek, who will turn it down in favour of Mer, and the Chief will actually end up staying on….. I think either George or Izzie fails, but I’m going with George for now…..and Callie will be the one to really help him….. Bailey – next season we will have more of a Bailey storyline, with the problems she is facing…..she gets CR, but maybe begins to lose her family…..She said to Burke and George “I need the space, I need the quiet and I need it now.” I think that meant more than just wanting them to leave her alone…. Alex and Addie will have some sort of discussion, hopefully, to finish off that storyline…it looks like the spinoff is a go, so Addie is gone…. I'm not sure about all the sex we are supposed to get, but I think Adele will need surgery, as will maybe Ava.....Mer will scrub in with Derek, and we will get some season one 'eye sex.' In season 4 we will see the redeeming of Mark, but we will also see Der and Mark work on their friendship, which hopefully gets back to what it once was…. Derek will not cheat…..I don’t think he will even consider it……and the bar girl is either Lexie (though I hope not!) or it could be Alex’s sister, to expand on his character for next season Posted: May 09 @ 10:43 PM by: jenlou1986 (2109 Posts in the last 90 days) Registered: Apr 01, 2007 I think Mer will be fine for her exams, too. And yes, this week will probably be hard to watch, but next week should make up for it. Mer is growing, she is changing, she will not end up like her Mother....I'll post something I posted on another S&D thread, rather than retype it...:) --------------------------------------------- Shonda is beginning to write Mer as coming into her own, standing up, so to speak, to who she can potentially be. Mer is the antithesis of Ellis - Mer can have it all, be a great surgeon, and keep a strong relationship. Ellis couldn't do it....she lost Thatcher. Mer is the opposite of Ellis in that - Ellis lost Richard, Mer got Derek, Mer is human, has a great bedside manner without compromising the patient or her job as a surgeon, what we know of Ellis is that she didn't have the bedside manner. Ellis ended up alone because of how cold she was, she pushed everone away.....Mer was like this, not cold, but she was unable to let anyone in....she is definitely growing.... That means 50.1% when rounded off to the nearest thing I feel like typing :) If George says to Izzie - No. I cannot be around you. I cannot do this, then the old Karma Wheel plus S2 parallels make things look AWESOME for MerDer. If George and Izzie are still fighting the feelings, then Mer and Der are still in some level of uncertainty. I personally go for the wheel spin as good for MerDer myself (once I got over the false McBarSlut post). Not necessarily TTTMNBN, but a decision to go forward. I agree that the absence of info lends itself to a big MerDer finish. But the podcasts and blogs have been awful . . . Did you see the cool McDreamysFan post a thread ago about this being a completion of the Guy in Bar hiding his pain arc? And this time Derek deals with the pain. I love that - and it would be an arc from 3.1 to 3.25 - A very Shonda thing to do. Lynn.....Gizzie won't go ahead, I honestly believe that, which brings us to a good MerDer (I believe that, but you know that....) If George decides to really give his marriage a shot, he will distance himself from Izzie. As for the blogs and podcasts - they are awful for a reason. If they were positive for MerDer, then I would be concerned, but they are all leading people to think 'here we go again, another break up.' Well, quite frankly, if this was Shonda's plan, it is working. They won't break up. Period. Honestly. As for the false post on the bar girl.........that person is known for posts that are full of crap, so have no fear...:) Oh, and the bolded part is a VERY good point!! Meredith's hair was down - prom sex Callie's hair was pulled back in front and down - George asked her for more time and held on to her. Wedding - Izzie's hair is up - rejected Cristina's hair is up - rejected Meredith's hair is down - Whheeeee! Callie's hair is the same - I have no clue what the equivalent would be. Yep - that fits in with my theories..... I'm thinking Callie stays, and her and George give it a shot. MerDer will be fine. Burktina......not so much with the fine. Callie's hair could be the same because George wants more time with her? He wants to hold onto her, and give it a real shot? (I don't really know, can you tell? ;) )
