"Grey's Anatomy": Alex gets his priorities straight
For too long, Justin Chambers has been the forgotten man of "Grey's Anatomy." He hasn't gotten the Emmy nods like pretty much the entire female cast and T.R. Knight, nor all those magazine covers, like Patrick Dempsey. But this may be a good thing. Because while every other character got sucked into last season's morass of despair and silliness, Chamber's Dr. Alex Karev actually had a pretty decent story line. While dallying with the dear departed Addison, he developed a soft spot for children, those small humans no one but Bailey seems to even register. And in the aftermath of the notorious ferry accident, Karev came to care for the horribly disfigured/beautifully reconstructed Ava/Rebecca, formerly a Jane Doe. Although, in the end, he could not manfully admit his feelings, Chambers did a lovely job revealing a previously prickly character's sweetness without falling into the general slosh of treacle that surrounded him.......cont’d after the jump

BUDDYTV
Grey's Anatomy: Episode 4.2 "Love/Addiction" Recap - October 4, 2007
Today on Grey's Anatomy, it is all about addictions. Addictions are bad, mmmkay?
After their break-up sex in the call room in last week's episodes, Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) and Derek (Patrick Dempsey) went back to Meredith's place to continue the break-up sex. They are all smiles, and decide that instead of being a relationship, they should henceforth, only engage in S&M: sex and mockery...... cont’d

'Grey's Anatomy': Addicted to love...and also crystal meth - October 04, 2007
Hi! My name is Liz, and I'm admitting I have a problem. I'm addicted to Grey's Anatomy. Have been for about two and a half years. I was clean for the past few months, but I've been slipping lately. It's not the writing, anymore, or the hip music, or even how the show makes me feel. I think it's the characters. Much as I may be annoyed by some of them, or disapprove of some of their choices, in the end I care what happens to most of them. And that's what keeps me hooked. So let's chase that dragon together, shall we? (Don't read on unless you're addicted to spoilers)

In case you hadn't noticed, our Theme of the Week is addiction, and how it never ends well. And also that Callie kind of sucks at life, which is truly a shame. The big case this week is a series of trauma victims from a gas main explosion crystal meth lab explosion at an apartment building. We've got the loveable "how could they be drug dealers?" neighbor, the slightly less loveable "I didn't even do drugs until recently!" client (don't get too attached to him), and the even less loveable "You mean cooking meth in our apartment could hurt our baby?" drug-dealing couple, plus their baby.....cont’d

(S04E02) "Simple question Lexie. Are you an idiot or a stalker?" - Meredith

Well that certainly made up for last week's crappy excuse for a season premiere. It actually felt like old school Grey's Anatomy. The pacing was frantic, the dialogue was snappy, and nothing was overly dramatic or cheesy. Everything was just even for a change. Well... almost everything. I can't stand George and Izzie. Yes folks, Gizzie makes me sick. It's awkward and makes me cringe. I see Gizzie getting all kissy-kissy and I make the same face that I make when I see an overweight person at the mall food-court, shoving fries into their mouth. It disturbs me, but at the same time, I accept it because I know they can't help it. George and Izzie just can't help it either and now they're evolving. George wants to tell Callie! It's like watching a new technology develop. I've seen the future. Gizzie is dead. Behold: iGeorge.......cont’d

EW - Keeping Up With the Jonesing - Posted Oct 5th 2007
On ''Grey's Anatomy,'' Izzie, George, Derek, and even the Chief face their various addictions after the explosion of a meth lab, and Mama Burke straightens Cristina out....
Now this was some good old-fashioned Grey's Anatomy, the kind of episode that makes last week's look like...well, like the solid but still cleaning-up-last-season's-messes installment that it was. Here, the rhythms were pulsing just right, the banter was flowing, and the pathos snuck up on me at the end just when it should have. The whole thing hewed exactly to the textbook Greysian formula that made this show huge — the perfect study for some inevitable future TV or film major's thesis, ''Anatomy of a Perfect Grey's.'' Herewith, a cheat sheet: .......cont’d

Momma Burke hands out advice on ‘Grey’s’ - Posted Oct 4th 2007
Gift exchange: Cristina decided to give away her wedding gifts, which Burke registered for, in exchange for professional gain – trading them for spots in upcoming surgeries. But she got another unwelcome gift: a visit from Momma Burke. She tried to avoid Momma Burke all day, which left Momma Burke to sit around and offer motherly advice to every doctor in the place. When Cristina finally talked to Momma, she was asked for Burke’s key and the necklace he gave her. Momma Burke then apologized to Cristina for not just losing the man she loved, but also her teacher. “With him by your side, you could have become a brilliant heart surgeon,” she said. That’s messed up........cont’d after the jump.....

Episode Recap: "Love/Addiction"
Disbelief. That's how I would describe my reaction (and the look on Izzie's face), during the first five minutes of tonight's episode. George loves Izzie, that's all there is to it, and now he can't wait to share the news with Callie! It's almost unbelievable. Especially considering the lengths George went to prior to tonight just to avoid Izzie and any related talk about their recent indiscretion. Now it's almost like he can't wait to shout it out to the world! Though I will say it is nice to see George so exuberant and full of life this week. Last week he seemed so frustrated and depressed about repeating his internship that I'm almost willing to forgive Gizzie. Almost. ........ .....cont’d after the jump.....

Love/Addiction Post-Op:

Meredith and Derek...let's hear it for S&M! Woo-hoo!
* Meredith and Derek are in bed (yay!) again, and they are joking about her snoring and him not sleeping over. There's no sleepovers in S & M (sex and mockery), so, Derek has a choice: he can either continue to make love to Meredith, or he has to drive himself home at 2 a.m. And, let the break-up nookie continue! .....cont’d after the jump.....
