Practice ups the ante beginning February 5 as Addison’s brother Archer (Grant Show), ailing with a brain disorder, returns to the Oceanside Wellness clinic. Then on February 12, two hours of strong medicine and stronger emotions play out when Naomi (Audra McDonald) and Sam (Taye Diggs) accompany Archer and Addison (Kate Walsh ) to Seattle Grace. Nothing far-fetched here: Sam, Naomi and Addison went to college with Derek (Patrick Dempsey) and Mark Sloan (Eric Dan) — and it’ll be up to neurosurgeon Derek to correct whatever’s wrong with Archer’s brain. The storyline continues through February 19. Expects some laughs, too, when Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) learns from the alums about a hidden talent her fiancé possessed during his years as a student. I’m told it’s something you’s see at a bad talent show. Private Practice star Kate Walsh, whose multi-episode Grey's Anatomy-Practice crossover stint concluded Thursday night, says you may not have seen the last of her on her former show. "I might [come back]," she tells Us Weekly. "I'm not gonna say. Who knows what's in the mind of [show creator] Shonda Rhimes." The actress says she was "really thrilled" to get the call to stop by Grey's again as "it's always fun to go back." But for now, she's content heading Oceanside Wellness on Practice. "I'm about to wrap Private Practice and I'm having a great time," she says. "I'm thrilled with the numbers, and I'm in a great place."
