Practice ups the ante beginning February 5 as Addison’s brother Archer (Grant Show), ailing with a brain disorder, returns to the Oceanside Wellness clinic. Then on February 12, two hours of strong medicine and stronger emotions play out when Naomi (Audra McDonald) and Sam (Taye Diggs) accompany Archer and Addison (Kate Walsh ) to Seattle Grace. Nothing far-fetched here: Sam, Naomi and Addison went to college with Derek (Patrick Dempsey) and Mark Sloan (Eric Dan) — and it’ll be up to neurosurgeon Derek to correct whatever’s wrong with Archer’s brain. The storyline continues through February 19. Expects some laughs, too, when Meredith (Ellen Pompeo) learns from the alums about a hidden talent her fiancé possessed during his years as a student. I’m told it’s something you’s see at a bad talent show.
