Mark asks, 'Which one of your roommates will be assisting?' Derek replies, 'Karev.' Izzie then bursts in and says, 'Dr Shepherd, I want back on this case. This is my patient. Alex stole him from me. Remember when I was telling you...' Then Derek interrupts, 'Dr Stevens, let's be clear. In this hospital I am not your roommate, I don't give a crap about your personal problems. I have a resident, I don't need another one.' Alex comes in and tells Derek that the patient is in his room. Derek leaves, and Izzie calls Alex a 'Son of a btch' Alex says, 'Go cry to somebody who cares.' - The one where Chief: 'Apparently some people thought I was kidding last week when I announced that nobody was going to get to hang out on their favourite specialty anymore. I wasn't! Junior residents don't specialize. So all the requests to send you back to that place where your true heart lives can end now. Dr Bailey makes the assignments, do not, and I repeat, do not harang her.' The chief walks off the George sort of follows.* The chief stops and says, 'O'Malley, I made a call. They don't have your score yet. If I knew, I would tell you.' George stays silent and the chief walks off. Lexie comes up to George and says consolingly, 'Hey. You passed. We're going to go to Joe's tonight and we're going to celebrate. I'm going to buy you a beer and all the peanuts you can eat.' George responds, 'What if I didn't pass?' Lexie replies, 'Well, then I'm still buying you a beer. Beer for loser's.' - The one where Bailey has obviously just dealt with some residents/interns and she comes walking up to callie, ranting. Bailey: 'They have the nerve to be indignant about how they're not allowed to work on their specialties anymore. They don't have specialties! They should be grateful they're even allowed in the...looks up at Callie who is silent....are you listening to me?' Callie: looks around nervously 'I'm going on a date with Erica Hahn. And, uh, that's awkward, cos she's a...she's a collegue, and she's an attending and because she's a she. And ah...there's been kissing, but ah, no touching. And what if I'm not into it? What if I'm horrible at all the...stuff...south of the border. Cos I've never been south of the border. With a female.' Bailey is just frozen in place, staring at Callie Callie continues: 'I mean, I've never even been over the...ah....northern mountains, you know what i'm saying? Callie looks at Bailey who is still frozen in shock Callie says awkwardly: 'We're going to pretend this didn't happen.' - The one where Derek is naked in bed, Mer walks up to him. There is a diary on the bedside table, which she sees. Mer: 'You keep a diary? Have I not known that all this time? That you keep a diary?' Derek: 'No, no I don't.' covers the diary up with a newspaper Mer sits down beside him on the bed Mer: 'Aw, don't be shy. I think it's cute.' Derek: 'It's not mine.' Mer: 'I won't read it.' Mer registers what he said, and as he leans up to kiss her, she pulls away Mer: 'Whose is it?' Derek: 'Your mother's.' Derek goes to kiss her again, and again she pulls away and then looks towards the bedside table Derek continues: 'It was in a big box full of old issues of the New England journel of medicine.' Mer: 'Did you read it?' Derek: 'No. I brought it up here for you.' Mer: 'Why were you going through her things?' Derek: 'I was trying to find space for my clothes, your closet is full.' Mer nods absently, looking unsure Mer: 'Oh. I have to shower, I've been hauling Cristina's boxes.' Mer stands up to leave and grabs the diary on her way out.
